GHOSTWOOD 004: "Northwest Passage" is Up!

"Diane, 11:30 a.m., February Twenty-fourth.  Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line.  I've never seen so many trees in my life."
-- FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks: "Northwest Passage (Pilot)"

It is happening again...my co-host with the most Xan Sprouse and I are back once again with a new episode of Ghostwood: The Twin Peaks Podcast!  This time, we review "Northwest Passage", a.k.a. the 1990 pilot episode of the original ABC television series Twin Peaks!

LET'S ROCK!

In our fourth HUGE episode, Xan and I discuss things like what Xan and I were doing in 1990, the birds singing a pretty song, the now-outdated look of 1990 actually working in Twin Peaks' favor today, the discovery of Laura Palmer's body, Audrey's secret identity at school, our young Catherine and Pete fan fiction, BOB letting Leland feel suffering as he learns of Laura's death, my first three Twin Peaks Funko figures, the arrival of Dale Cooper in Twin Peaks, the really Lynchian morgue scene, Cooper spotting James' motorcycle in Laura's eye reflection, Cooper being introduced to the town, Leo's truck turning up in Flesh World magazine, the brawl at the Roadhouse, Sarah Palmer's vision and bloodcurdling scream, Old Hollywood references, the alternate European version ending that reveals Laura's killer, other networks trying to capture on the show's popularity, worrying about what Dale Cooper has been doing for the past 25 years, skipping work the day after the new Twin Peaks series debuts, and more!
