NEXT STOP EVERYWHERE 175: The Review of Series 12" Is Up!

"I had to make them pay for what I discovered.  They lied to us.  The founding fathers of Gallifrey…Everything we were told was a lie.  We're not who we think, you or I.  The whole existence of our species, built on the lie of the Timeless Child."
-- The Eighth Master to the Thirteenth Doctor, Doctor Who: "Spyfall, Part 2"

Hello again, everyone!  In this extra-length 175th episode, my partner in time Jesse Jackson and I are joined by special guest companion DJ Nik to review Doctor Who Series 12, featuring Jodie Whittaker's second season as the Thirteenth Doctor, the debut of Sacha Dhawan as the Eighth Master, the return of Captain Jack Harkness and the Cybermen, the mysterious Fugitive Doctor, and the genesis of the Time Lords!

In this HUGE episode, Jesse, DJ Nik and I discuss things like DJ Nik updating us on dealing with the Coronavirus in Italy, the Thirteenth Doctor being bubbly on the outside publicly but broody privately, David Harewood on the BBC Radio adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, Stephen Fry as "C", the decision to get rid of Torchwood and UNIT, the secrecy of Sacha Dhawan's casting as the Eighth Doctor, the Master posing as a Nazi officer, wanting to see more of the Kasaavin, the Master revealing that he destroyed Gallifrey, "Orphan 55"'s heavy-handed social message, Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, the Skithra being distant cousins of the Racnoss, DJ Nik not being a fan of Captain Jack Harkness, the mystery of the Fugitive Doctor, the generational shift to bingewatching making viewers impatient for answers, the Doctor's awkward response to Graham about his fear that his cancer might return, Ashad being a character to connect viewers to the Cybermen, DJ Nik defending "The Timeless Children" vs. Jesse's prosecution, how Ashad the Lone Cybermen could be brought back, hopes and predictions for Doctor Who Series 13, new feedback from new listener Thomas Meehan, Dave Proctor, Hannah Skorapa, and Davia from Canada, our upcoming 2020 schedule, and more!
