Description of EC Comics Audio Project
EC Comicshas partnered with Pocket Universe Productions and Southgate Media Group in order to create a series of fully produced audio-drama versions of their comic book properties, launching with The Vault of Horror. The first season will consist of 12 episodes, featuring two stories per episode, which will be made available as a podcast via iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and other podcast directories.
Each episode will feature professional voice actors, along with a celebrity portraying the series host, “The Vault Keeper”.
The series will be written by Pocket Universe co-founder, Lance Roger Axt, and former MAD Magazine contributor, Butch D’Ambrosio, and will be directed by William Dufris. A Key Sponsor is being sought for the series, as well as five Associate Producers, so as to provide the funds needed to not only produce the series, but also to promote and distribute the content. Each episode will cost $20,000 to produce, for a total of $240,000 for the first season. The target date for pre-production is December 15, 2018.
EC Comics
EC Comics (also known as Entertaining Comics) was an American comic book publisher specializing in horror, crime, western, satire, science fiction, and military stories in the 1940s and 1950s. EC Comics is best known today for its comic book series, Tales from the Crypt, which was also adapted into a successful TV series and movie franchise. In the mid-1950s, EC shifted its focus to its humor magazine, MAD Magazine, which proved to be an enduring success for the company.
The Vault of Horror was a bi-monthly horror comic book published by EC Comics as part of its series of horror anthology comics (as well as The Haunt of Fear and Tales from the Crypt). 29 issues of The Vault of Horror were published between April/May 1950 and December/January 1955.

5x Associate Producers - $25,000
Associate Producers will be listed in the podcast show notes, in the final credits, and at the end of any video version release of the podcast.
