Captain America Mood Swings

We got our first sneak peek today at Steve Rogers as the head of the new Secret Empire. 

While some fans have been upset with the “Steve as Hydra Cap” events put in motion by Kobik, the evolved cosmic cube that thinks it is a four year old girl, Captain America has been the victim of mental manipulation and altered realities several times before.

Marvel's Best of 2016

For my last Marvel blog of 2016 i thought I would list some of the best books I read from Marvel this year.

They were created by writer Mark Gruenwald and artist Tom Morgan to symbolize censorship and oppression.

Marvel Civil Wars

with Iron Man leading the pro registration heroes as the then head of Shield vs. the heroes who thought the Superhuman Registration Act was a violation of their civil rights, led by Captain America. 

Spider-Man, then allied with Iron Man’s pro registration forces revealed his identity to the whole world.

Captain America vs The Captain (or Steve Rogers' trial by fire)

Steve quit the role he had created and filled since World War 2. 

It’s also revealed that the Red Skull is alive, his mind now in a cloned body of Steve Rogers.

 It is later revealed that the Commission faked the assassination to give John a new identity as Jack Daniels, the U.S. Agent who worked for them as their “Captain America”.
